Bright LLP Achieves Law Society Mark of Excellence

Fast growing Plymouth commercial law firm Bright LLP has been awarded the Law Society’s practice management quality mark - Lexcel. It is now part of a select few law firms in Plymouth to have achieved the standard.

Managing Director Andy Price said: “When Bright began trading in September 2006 it did so with the vision of being a client led law firm, providing a range of legal services bespoke to its clients, and competing with the best, a vision that still holds true. Bright has always been committed to delivering an excellent and well managed quality of service to clients at a cost effective price. What better way to demonstrate and ensure that Bright continues to provide this than through the Lexcel standard.”

Lexcel is a quality standard specifically written for the legal profession. To achieve this Bright had to undergo a rigorous independent assessment of its client care policy and procedures including the provision of information to clients and complaints handling, case and file management policy and procedures, demonstrate adequate supervision and risk management of both staff and client matters, people management and documentation management. To maintain the standard Bright will continue to undergo periodical independent assessments.

Andy added: “Everyone here believes in Bright’s vision and are committed to providing an excellent quality of service to its clients. To have been awarded the Lexcel quality mark when we are not yet three years old is remarkable, and we are rightly proud to have achieved it so swiftly. Most local firms reaching this standard are long established.”

There is yet more good news at Bright as Spencer Glazsher has been appointed Partner with effect from 1 May 2009. Spencer joined the firm last year and heads up the Commercial department.
