Bright New Legal Approach for South West Companies
A new law firm focused on servicing the needs of ambitious businesses in the South West has just moved into offices at The Tamar Science Park in Plymouth.
Bright LLP headed up by former Bond Pearce lawyer Andy Price, will begin trading on 4 September. Andy has been joined by Julia Moulding who has relocated to the region after 5 years with global firm Baker & Mackenzie. They are supported by two consultants with heavyweight experience in legal services. Former Foot Anstey finance director Paul Turner and Martyn King who headed up the business development and marketing team at Ashfords, whilst on the IT side the firm will be supported by ex-FlyBE IT consultant Nicola Thomas.
The new firm will deliver a range of commercial services designed to meet the specific needs of the South West’s 350,000 plus businesses.
“We have listened very carefully to decision makers from a number of new and established companies in the region. The overwhelming message is that they want more flexibility from their legal advisers in the form of fee structures, service delivery and adding value. Setting up the business based on this thorough consultation with our target marketplace has enabled to offer a more modern service to meet this demand,” said Mr Price.
This new modern approach has been very well received as Bright LLP has already won the work for a national retailer, a regional financial services company and some exciting start-ups.
This fresh approach also extends to recruitment, Andy explains, “our clients instruct Bright LLP lawyers to offer proactive commercial advice, so it is important that lawyers here feel empowered to deliver that service.
