Five brave colleagues from Bright Solicitors in Plymouth and Ivybridge are going to be donning their trainers as they plan to run 19km on 9th December to raise vital funds for Children’s Hospice South West (CHSW), the firm’s Charity of the Year.

The traditionally fluid and transitory nature of the workforce in certain sectors of the food industry, coupled with the expected downturn in migrant workers following Brexit means that this issue could be particularly acute.

Bright Solicitors is delighted to announce that Connie Moulding has qualified as a solicitor and joined Matt Cook’s commercial team. Earlier in the year, Bright Solicitors also welcomed on board Natalie Puckey, who completed her two year training period with the firm in February.
Matt Cook said: “This is an exciting time for Connie and Natalie to be joining the firm. We are experiencing a period of growth and it is great that they have both chosen to pursue their legal careers with us.”
Connie has particular experience in commercial work with a property element and is keen to get to know all Bright Solicitors’ commercial clients better so that she can help to identify which of our services are relevant to them, wherever they are in the lifecycle of their business.
Connie said: “Joining Matt’s team gives me the opportunity to build on my knowledge and experience of helping clients with the issues that they face, whether that is growing and developing their businesses, or ensuring that their contract terms are relevant and enforceable.”
Natalie joined Adrian Beddow’s Commercial Property team and works on a portfolio of work for major property investors in and around Plymouth, with particular emphasis on acting for investors and occupiers in the office, industrial and retail markets.
Natalie said: “Bright Solicitors has a thriving commercial property team and this is a great opportunity for me to get involved with some really interesting work whilst delivering real value to our clients.”

We are delighted to have been informed that we are the winner of the category ‘Business Contribution to Sport in the Community’ for the Devon Sports Awards 2018. The management and staff at Bright Solicitors have been keen to get involved with a number of sporting activities over the past few years including a charity fundraising 100 mile cycle/run challenge in France, boxing, football, rounders, half marathon & 10k & raft racing to name just a few.

A legal firm in Plymouth have put together a team of 20 employees and family members as young as two years old, to dress up as the gift giving, festive character and run through the streets for charity.

On Friday 22nd April, 16 of us set off from Plymouth via Brittany Ferries to Roscoff in France. One team of 9 cyclists (plus Martin Wood with vehicle support) will then cycle on predominantly a cycle trail 100 miles down to Concarneau. A team of 5 runners will also be attempting this challenge.
