Post Completion Administrator

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly focused and driven individual to join a busy, modern and expanding local law firm. We operate within Plymouth and the surrounding areas and we are looking for committed administrative support within our Post Completion and Registration Department.

Main purpose of job: To provide legal and administrative support to the firm for the processes following completion.

Key tasks include:

1. Legal assistance
Use of the case management system including the generation of precedent letters.
Scheduling post completion files and keeping spreadsheets with expiry dates of OS1/OS2 results.
Renewing OS1 & OS2 results, if necessary.
Registration of purchase files through the Infotrack or Land Registry portal, or manually.
Dealing with Requisitions from the Land Registry with the assistance of fee earners and other team members when required.
Updating lenders of progress with delayed registrations to ensure we stay on lender panels.
Updating LMS and Lender Exchange portals to explain of any registration delays.
Sending letters to clients and lenders on completion of registrations.
Closing files.
Clearing balances from the accounts ledger.

2. General administration
To arrange copying, facsimile transmissions, filing and scanning facilities, as required
To ensure the confidentiality of all the firm’s and clients’ documentation and information.
To undertake other clerical and administrative duties as may reasonably be required from time to time.
Answering the telephone.

3. Training
To undertake any specific training when required to do so and overall to have a responsibility towards self-development.
Complete mandatory CQS tests.
Use PLC to support learning

The Candidate:
The role will be largely computer based, so a high understanding of technology and an ability to pick up new software systems efficiently and effectively is crucial.
Some level of office based administrative experience is preferable.
A level of legal knowledge – specifically relating to the process of legal conveyancing is favourable.
Some form of previous legal experience is favourable.

Job Type: Full Time Office Based Role (Monday-Friday 9am-5pm)
Location: Studio 5-11, 5 Millbay Road, Plymouth, PL1 3LF
Salary: Dependant on level of qualification and experience
Start Date: Immediate
