Bright Solicitors were delighted to be Match Sponsors for Plymouth Albion’s first home fixture of the 2026/27 season as they welcomed Sheffield to Brickfields on Saturday 19 September.

As a long-standing supporter of local organisations and community initiatives across Plymouth and the South West, we are proud to work alongside Plymouth Albion, a club that plays an important role in the city’s sporting and community life. From inspiring the next generation of players to bringing people together through rugby, Albion continues to be a source of pride for Plymouth both on and off the pitch.

The sponsorship provided an excellent opportunity to bring together colleagues, clients and valued stakeholders for a day of hospitality in the Albion Arbocure Marquee. Guests enjoyed a lunch and drinks, networking opportunities and an insightful pre-match talk from Head Coach Ryan Lamb ahead of kick-off.

The afternoon then got even better as Albion produced a superb performance in their first home game of the campaign, securing an impressive 47-5 victory over Sheffield to maintain their unbeaten start to the National League 1 season. The result followed two strong away wins and underlined the positive momentum building around the club.

As part of our sponsorship, Bright Solicitors had the privilege of selecting the Player of the Match. The honour was given to Partner Robin Moiser, a former Plymouth Albion player in the 1980s, who knows first-hand what the club means to the city and its supporters.

Following an outstanding display that included four tries, Robin selected Number 8 Sam Daly as Bright Solicitors’ Player of the Match. Sam is pictured receiving his award from Bright Solicitors Partner Henry Lowson before presenting the firm with a signed Plymouth Albion shirt on behalf of the club.

The day perfectly reflected what community sponsorship is all about: supporting an important local institution while creating opportunities to connect with colleagues, clients and partners in a relaxed and enjoyable setting.
