Georgia Jones named Finalist in The Notty’s 2026 Fearless Leader Award
We’re delighted to share that Georgia Jones, Partner and Head of Commercial Property at Bright Solicitors, has been named a finalist in the Fearless Leader category at The Notty’s 2026 Awards.
With more than 800 nominations received across the awards, and only five finalists selected in this category, Georgia‘s achievement is a remarkable recognition of her leadership, dedication and impact.
The Fearless Leader award celebrates individuals who empower their teams, encourage innovation, champion professional development and inspire others to achieve outstanding results. Judges assess nominees on their leadership philosophy, mentorship, team development and ability to encourage people to step outside their comfort zones and succeed.
Since joining Bright Solicitors in 2021, Georgia has played a pivotal role in the growth and development of the firm’s Commercial Property team. Taking on the role of Head of Department during the challenging circumstances of the Covid-19 pandemic, she successfully led the team through a period of significant growth while helping to expand both its capability and reputation.
Georgia was nominated by Jasmine Keeble, a Solicitor within the Commercial Property team she leads. In her nomination, Jasmine described Georgia’s leadership philosophy as one built on collaboration, encouragement and trust, creating an environment where colleagues feel empowered to contribute ideas, develop new specialisms and achieve their professional goals.
Known for her supportive and inclusive approach to leadership, Georgia encourages colleagues to share ideas, challenge thinking and develop their own areas of expertise. Through regular mentoring, meaningful career development conversations and practical support, she has helped team members build confidence, pursue professional qualifications and expand the services Bright is able to offer clients. This includes supporting colleagues to develop expertise in emerging and specialist areas of commercial property law, helping both individuals and the wider team grow and succeed.
Her commitment to developing people has contributed to a culture where colleagues are empowered to take on new challenges and progress their careers. Several team members have advanced significantly under her guidance, including individuals entering the legal profession for the first time and those transitioning from entirely different careers. Through her mentorship, colleagues have been encouraged to pursue qualifications, secure training contracts and build rewarding long-term careers within the firm.
Georgia’s leadership has also helped drive significant achievements for the team. Under her direction, Bright’s Commercial Property department became the first team within the firm to secure a Legal 500 ranking at the first attempt, achieving a Tier 3 ranking in the highly competitive Cornwall, Devon and Dorset Commercial Property category and successfully retaining that ranking in subsequent editions. Her encouragement for the team to take on increasingly complex work while maintaining exceptional client service has been instrumental in this success.
Commenting on the announcement, our Managing Partner, Julie Milton, said:
“Georgia’s place as a finalist is thoroughly deserved. She leads with professionalism, integrity and an unwavering commitment to helping others succeed. Over the years, she has played a significant role in the growth and success of our Commercial Property team while also supporting and developing colleagues across the firm. We are incredibly proud to see her recognised among the region’s leading business figures and wish her every success at the awards.”
